MyCustomizer offers the possibility of automatically generating print files from your customers' designs.

What are print files?
They are PDF files that are ready for print and contain the designs of your customers. Here are the main parameters that define a print file:
Size: This is the real life size of the print area on your product, it can be measured in inches, centimeters or millimeters.
DPI: This is the resolution of your print file, or how many dots or pixels per inches your image has. The higher the DPI, the sharper the printed result will be.
Bleed: This is a margin around the print file that will be cut out once the file is printed. It allows you to extend a design outside the real dimensions to prevent an undesirable white outline.
Safe area: This is the area in which all the important information should be contained. For example, if you are printing business cards, all the text should be within the safe area.
Product preview: This is the preview of the print file on the rendered product in your customizer. This preview should be placed approximately (but as closely as possible for a better user experience) on the product. It will always preserve the aspect ratio of the size of the print file.
Design view: If you offer the possibilty for your customers to move, resize and rotate logos within the print area, this is the product view that will be used to do so.
How can I add a print file to my products?
Print files are created directly within the builder. In order to create one, open a Logo question in one of your products and in the print area section, click create print area.
The panel for the print area will open and we recommend you give it a meaningful name (ie: Front print).
You can then set the correct parameters for your print area.
After entering the parameters, you should then position the print area on your product and make it visible only on the required views. You can do so anytime the print area panel is open by clicking on the print area rectangle on the product.
How can I add multiple logos to the same print file?
Once a print area is created, it can be reused throughout your product.
If you assign a print area to multiple logos, they will all be present in the same PDF when you download the design files.
How can I make a logo position editable?
Once you added your print area to a logo, a new settings section will appear in your logo panel.
Use those toggles to decide which actions will be allowed for your customers.
How can I download the print files for a design?
Once a product has a print area, the print files will be generated for each print area when the customer clicks on add to cart or share.
You will be able to download the images from the designs or orders page in your MyCustomizer dashboard when you open the modal and click on Download all images.
